A poem I adore
I’ve been called to read and share more poetry lately. It often manages to cut through the noise and capture exquisitely a feeling or idea without talking directly to it. This softness and gentleness feels needed at this time. I hope you are enjoying, but if they don’t resonate I would encourage you to find poetry that does. It truly is a soothing balm for the soul.
WHEN I AM AMONG THE TREES

When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness.
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.
I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.
Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”

Ah my glorious divine witchy friends our time has come!
This is an *incredibly* potent time energetically. If you haven’t been feeling Scorpio season yet…please tell me your secrets (!) I haven’t come across anyone who hasn’t been affected in some way this past week…then this moment will certainly blow the cobwebs away and shake things loose.
It’s a beautiful and powerful time for many reasons, not least as traditionally the veil is at its thinnest at this time of year. We have more access to the other worlds and all the energy that comes along with that. Our sensitivities are heightened and our manifestation magic is magnified. Your psychic senses will be tingling sisters.
As the second full moon of the month, a Blue Moon, there is a strong theme of release and unraveling as we would expect. However there is some resistance within the energy here. It might not feel as easy to let go of something with Uranus on the scene potentially bringing shocks, rebellion or some other kind of extreme into your life. You might think you are done with something but watch and see if it sneaks back up on you…
As ever, astrology cannot define your life for you, only support you in seeing the truth of the reality in which you live. Take a moment this weekend to breathe into yourself, to reconnect with your body, to rest your mind and give yourself some love and attention.
The planets do what they do, people do what they do and regardless we are all here, breathing and living. The sun will rise tomorrow, and the day after that, and every time it does it’s another chance to witness the miracle of starting again.
