Quote I am enjoying

“It’s not that we fear the unknown. You cannot fear something that you do not know. Nobody is afraid of the unknown. What you really fear is the loss of the known. That’s what you fear.” Anthony de Mello

Documentary that gripped me…

The Panama Papers availableon Amazon Prime

At first glance it might look dry…data leaks, government corruption etc. where’s the magic and sparkle there right? But there is a beautiful underlying theme to this doc…the relentless pursuit of truth by the journalists who literally risked their lives, in some cases, lost their lives, so that the reality of the world we live in could be revealed to the global public.

This is not conspiracy theory. This is not Light vs Dark. This is fact. It gives me so much faith and hope that there are so many people out there who do not accept the status quo of the power structures we live in and work tirelessly so that we can all live with more truth and greater freedom.

Regardless of how you feel about the current political and economic situation in this world there is always hope and truth wins 😘

“THE PANAMA PAPERS is a feature documentary that charts the story of the massive data leak that exposed the largest global corruption scandal in history. Hundreds of journalists around the globe worked in secret, at great personal risk, to reveal a scandal involving corrupt power brokers, the uber rich, elected officials, dictators, cartel bosses, athletes and celebrities who had used the Panamanian law firm of Mossack Fonseca to hide their money for any number of illegal reasons. The reports detailed tax evasion, fraud, cronyism, bribing government officials, election meddling, and murder. The investigation proved that the system is rigged, and cracked the vault of well-kept secrets and ill-gotten wealth, revealing vast and coordinated corruption among the world’s elite. The significance for the average, tax paying, law-abiding citizen is enormous; with the leaks showing that at least $32 trillion was hiding in more than 80 tax havens in 2010 alone”

The Important Difference Between Want And Need

You normally end up with near enough everything you need. Need means it is crucial to your survival and your vitality.

You don’t often get everything you want.

This is a good thing.

Having wants gives you a different kind of vitality. A want gives you inspiration, motivation and drive. It gives you something to work towards, to look forward to.

Wanting is not bad. It supports the creation of your future self and drives your present moment action (if your needs are already being met).

It’s only bad when you don’t know the difference between a want and a need. Thinking your life, happiness and contentment depends on a want as if it were a need creates frustration, despair and misery.

Check in with yourself…

🌟What do I identify as my needs and are they currently being met?

🌟Are any of these needs actually wants?

🌟What are my wants?

🌟Do I have an actionable plan for working towards my wants?

🌟Is my happiness attached to any of these wants?
Working towards our dreams, goals and visions for ourselves is such a fun part of being human…strive for those wants while remembering to be grateful that your needs are being met
