Quote I am diving into

“Set belief systems block you from living in vital connection with the wholeness of Truth. Truth is beyond any point of view. It is an energy, not a concept, and it is eminently practical”  Jan Spiller

Poem I had to share

If you follow me on Instagram – @sashafardell_ then you’ll know I go for a walk in the woods near enough every single day. I find so much wisdom in that time, I often have streams of downloads, find answers to the unanswerable and learn something new about myself or life in general.

David Whyte captures the sanctity of spending time in nature so beautifully and profoundly in this poem, I had to share…

SOMETIMES
by David Whyte

Sometimes
if you move carefully
through the forest,
breathing
like the ones
in the old stories,
who could cross
a shimmering bed of leaves
without a sound,
you come to a place
whose only task
is to trouble you
with tiny
but frightening requests,
conceived out of nowhere
but in this place
beginning to lead everywhere.
Requests to stop what
you are doing right now,
and
to stop what you
are becoming
while you do it,
questions
that can make
or unmake
a life,
questions
that have patiently
waited for you,
questions
that have no right
to go away.

and One More Thing

I feel like I blinked and Leo season is over…

It might feel quick as we only just had the New Moon in Leo this week…so keep in mind that energy will still feel vital for the few days after.

August has felt like a breath of fresh air energetically compared to the preceding months, but as we know, change is the only constant in this cyclical life of ebbs and flows we live in.

On that note…

Let’s welcome Virgo season with the sun entering the sign of the ‘virgin’ on 22 August.

Virgo season is a beautiful time to integrate and ground all the heat of Leo season – it’s time to get serious and figure out how to execute on the new ideas that arose so passionately over the past few weeks.

If Virgo had a tagline it would be ‘creating order from chaos’

It’s a wonderful energy to get organised, implement new routines, find structure where you need it, take care of your health and home environment and settle in to a level of productivity that not only feels good to you but also builds momentum and fuels your drive and ambition.

Summer playtime in the Northern Hemisphere is coming to an end…let’s see what we can build as we move into this new season.

Here are a few journal prompts to get you in the mood:

🌟Are there any areas in my life where greater precision would be beneficial? e.g. prioritising your time, diet, specific projects

🌟Where in my life would a refreshed routine or new structure serve me? e.g. workout schedule, sleep routine

🌟What area of my life am I avoiding organising or tidying up…why is that? This could be literal e.g. your garage, office space or figurative e.g. relationships, work projects, dating app matches…

Happy Journaling Loves!
