On the wisdom of clarity through action

Conversations worth listening to

I mentioned in a past OMT the Wisdom of Trauma documentary with Gabor Maté

The wonderful team behind it re-released it along with a whole new selection of conversations covering trauma + every different topic you can imagine, e.g. trauma + chronic pain, trauma + medicine, trauma + the climate crisis with an amazing cast of learned speakers

I particularly enjoyed the conversation with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield on “Finding Wholeness Through our Broken Places” adiscussion on the role of trauma and trauma healing on the spiritual journey and how spiritual work that is not trauma-informed can in fact make things worse, or re-traumatize people…of course, a topic that is very dear to my heart

and One More Thing

Astrological go-time 🌟 Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter + Mercury to all finally station direct

Our retrograding friends in the sky have nearly stopped retrograding all over us…whew

Pluto stationed direct on 6 October, Saturn on 10 October, Jupiter and Mercury will both turn on 18 October

Cue a huge exhale and permission to once again surge forward

We have been invited over the last few months to reflect, plough over, journey inward, pick apart, goings on in our internal worlds as well as take a magnifying glass to what exactly the last couple of years have meant for us individually and collectively

I have mentioned a few times but I feel it’s worth saying again…it is crucial we take seriously the collective trauma that the past couple of years has brought upon us….heal with me on YT here

That we nurture and heal these wounds with the tender care that we would any other. Nobody has been left unaffected and there is a beautiful opportunity for togetherness to take centre stage…especially as Jupiter and Saturn station direct in Aquarius – the sign of social change, social justice, social solutions

As we move into Autumn here in the Northern Hemisphere it also feels a little clunky, disjointed…the soothing peace of letting go, letting the natural dissolution set in doesn’t seem quite right with all the work there is to do in rebuilding, regenerating, rejuvenating all that has been broken, lost

It is a moment to balance both, to see that macro-cycles and micro-cycles nest within each other, to feel the rhythms of our own bodies and lives and honour that it is all happening exactly in this one moment
