Quote I am enjoying

“Wisdom occurs when you drop barriers you have erected through your concepts and conditioning. Wisdom is not something acquired; wisdom is not experience; wisdom is not applying yesterday’s illusions to today’s problems.” Antony de Mello

What Good Business Should Be…

There are 12 helpful principles included

Here are two of my favourites…

“Four: The task of advertising is to keep our true needs in view

Advertising can often seem like a low, slightly shameful activity. The fear is that advertising creates false wants: it promotes desires we would otherwise never have. It encourages dissatisfaction, envy and frustration. It stimulates vain and shallow attitudes. But if we strip it back to essentials, advertising is basically the attempt to get us to see that something could be important to us. They might not often be getting it quite right, but the underlying idea – of drawing attention to needs – is not in itself bad.”

“Eleven: People should be rewarded really well and really reliably for doing good. Goodness is not its own reward

We live in a society in which – as is often lamented – money seems to be the overriding motive; children from the age of five say that their primary ambition is to be rich. Cynically one might say that everyone is corrupt. But one might point to a more generous explanation. In the absence of a better alternative money feels, to a lot of people, like the most reliable and most genuine reward, because maybe – at the moment – it is the most reliable reward.”

and One More Thing

These past couple of weeks I have been taking time out and travelling around the UK to visit friends and family. At the same time I have been connecting with the land and elements ever more deeply, listening closely to wisdom of the landscape.

In this era-defining year, it has been made more clear than ever before how crucial it is that we each maintain our connection not only with ourselves but with this beautiful earth we inhabit. We have been called to come home to ourselves over and over, to empower ourselves and to realise our sovereignty…and in doing this to come home to our physical experience on this planet. To inhabit our bodies in a way that feels vital and alive is medicine. To then share that respect with others and this planet feels like the truth we all need to remember.

You are not alone. You are the sun, the moon, the stars, the trees, the ocean, the earth. You are part of something beautiful and magnificent always.

Here are a few pictures from my recent travels shared in the hopes of inspiring peace and connection.

How have you been connecting to nature recently?

Have you been truly experiencing all the elements? Earth, Air, Water, Fire..What element might you need more of in your life?

Have you been honouring your physical self and this earthly experience?
