Quote I am enjoying

Book I am finally reading…

If Women Rose Rooted – Sharon Blackie

I am only partway through this book and have mixed feelings about the opening chapters. However the overarching messaging feels so potent right now that I couldn’t not discuss it.

In particular the idea of the Heroine’s Journey of reconnecting to the land, re-becoming the caretaker, nurturer vs the Hero’s Journey of going away, facing tests and returning.

The masculine and the feminine are on different journeys. We are here to do different things and the way we connect to spirituality will necessarily be different. Connecting to consciousness through Mother Earth is by far the more potent way of healing the feminine. This book highlights this for me.

While men and women need to heal both their masculine and feminine it is always worth remembering and connecting to your truest essence, whether that be masculine or feminine, in order to heal. Connecting to the land from which you were born is also another beautiful way of re-remembering the feminine within, of connecting deeply to that part of your being.

We need all parts, we need balance and harmony, as above so below. As often as we connect to Father Heaven, and those who dwell in the skies, we must also connect to Mother Earth and all the energy she represents.

and One More Thing

It is still deeply watery out there, wading around in this subconscious soup.

Trust and surrender have been coming up over and over again this week. Guidance has been clear, all action has to be heart-based right now and if there is any uncertainty then wait until clarity comes.

Trust and surrender to the energy of the present moment and derive action only from the purest of intention.

Following this principle has led to the most profound week of healing. It is really very true that there are times for action and times for being and it is a falsehood that ‘being’ times are less productive or worthwhile than ‘doing’ times. While I personally can get frustrated when I am called to be patient and not do I also know that is normally the time of greatest growth and integration.

As I move into my autumn and prepare for winter this cycle, I am calling in even more support through my rest time. Part of the wonder of this Pisces season and Mercury Retrograde for me has been to truly reflect on just how important community and support has been for me throughout my healing journey. We really can’t do this alone and nor are we supposed to.

As I lean in to the next phase of growth I am excited to share the journey along with you all.
