Corona, Chaos and Creativity
These are unprecedented times. There is so much uncertainty. I want to use this space to highlight that through chaos can come some of the most original thinking and creative inventions. Where everything that has been known is now no longer guaranteed there is space for the new.
How coincidental that this is all happening with the beginning of the new astrological year, Saturn moving into Aquarius and the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere.
While the world as we know it is being forced to take a pause so we get gifted with a stillness and space that allows the new to break through. Already we have seen community and companies stepping up and adapting. We have seen leaders emerge. We have seen people pull together to take care of one another.
Chaos is the birthplace of creativity.
If you are fortunate enough that your immediate needs are taken care of use this time to take a pause and let your mind wander. Spend some time daydreaming and asking yourself different questions…
If I couldn’t go back to life the way it was how would I create it differently?
What have I alway wished I had time to do but never prioritised?
How do I feel about facing my own mortality? Do I have any regrets? How could I change that?
How can I find safety within myself? What do I need to really feel secure? What do I use as ‘comfort blankets’ that I could do without?
It is in these times that we can begin to think differently. When everything is uncertain we get a chance to find a new normal. Perhaps you don’t want a new normal…take this time to reassess.
It is in these times that we are forced to remember that tomorrow is never guaranteed, chaos always reigns supreme whether we choose to believe that or not, change is the only constant and ultimately in every moment the only thing we truly have control over is our internal experience and the thoughts and meanings we ascribe to it.
